Perched on the mountain’s crest is Upper Meadow Lodge. The lodge is the culmination of the lifelong dream of a retired San Diego Judge. Upon his retirement from the bench he came upon this land, fell in love with it, and in one day made it his own. Over the next eight plus years he designed, built, and decorated this elegant early 1900’s style mountain lodge. It was his goal to create a warm and welcoming space with all the modern conveniences of home yet painting a historic, rustic mountain feel.
