Every suite in Upper Meadow Lodge has its own special charm! On the main floor there are two suites each with their own bathrooms. Upstairs there is a fabulous suite and a lovely bedroom that share a bath. And downstairs you will find a delightful suite with private bathroom.

Mountain Lavender Suite - (sleeps four)

The spacious Mountain Lavender Suite is on the main floor. It contains a king size bed and a seating area that looks out on the lavender garden, ferns and flowers of the upper meadow and beyond to the distant mountains. Relax in the seating area in an antique recliner or rocker while in taking in the view with a cup of coffee or tea in the morning or a glass of wine at dusk. In the morning you’ll awaken to the magnificent mountain sunrise. The valley below glows orange with the early morning light, then the sun will breaks over the eastern mountains and floods the Mountain Lavender Suite with morning light. (There are, of course, blackout drapes and shades for those who want to sleep in.) On days when the coastal layer dominates the flatlands below, the mountains look like islands floating in a sea of fluffy white clouds. The private bath has a 24” deep soaking tub/spa for a relaxing respite while viewing the fern meadow and cedars. This is a special treat after playing in the snow. Don’t forget to take your hot chocolate with you. A separate travertine shower also looks out over the fern meadow. This suite is approximately 350 square feet.

The Bear’s Lair Suite - (sleeps four)

The Bear’s Lair is a 20 by 14 foot room that contains four twin beds that can be made up in various configurations. The twins when made up together and covered with three inch memory foam make a cushy King bed or we can set them up as twins as needed. The Bear’s Lair is furnished with mountain scenes and playful bear motif. The suite opens out onto a large deck and overlooks the cedar circle as well as the large Jacuzzi spa set outside in the meadow. There is an oversized leather chair and ottoman as well as a comfortable rocker, and a trundle bed that makes into two twins when it is not serving as a sofa. Your private bath just outside the door has a lovely travertine shower. This suite is approximately 295 square feet.

Mountain Rose Suite - (sleeps five)

The popular Mountain Rose Suite is the larger of two attic rooms. It features magnificent views south to the mountains and valleys and east to the fern meadows and cedars and a king sized bed under a crystal chandelier. In addition a chaise style day bed can make up into two thirty inch beds. There is a drop front desk, a Television, a full size sleeper sofa, Wifi, a rocking chair and a swivel recliner. The richness of the appointments and the comfortable seating make this room one of the most popular. The suite has about 290 square feet and shares a lovely natural stone bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub with the adjacent Cedar View Room.

Cedar View Room - (sleeps two)

Upstairs, across the hall from the Mountain Rose Suite is the Cedar View Room. This cozy, woodsy attic room can be made up as a king or two twins and looks out over the cedar trees and the fern meadow. Along with Wifi it has a recliner, writing desk, reading lamp and a rocker for relaxing and reading a good book. It also contains a collection of turn of the last century hand crank kitchen tools. This suite is approximately 225 square feet. This suite shares a lovely Jacuzzi tub bathroom with the Mountain Rose Suite.

The Sundance Suite - (sleeps three)

On the lower level of this three story lodge, you will find the Sundance Suite. Decorated in wonderful Cowboy and Indian theme, it is a cozy, private apartment with a king size bed or two twins, a luxurious bathroom with a large shower and a kitchenette complete with a mini refrigerator and microwave. The wooden French doors open out on to a sparkling private natural stone patio with an umbrella table for 4. Along with Wifi this suite also has a small sleeper sofa, a TV and an antique rocker. There is a table for two for tea or for games or puzzles as well as an amazing stamped leather coffee table. This suite is approximately 400 square feet.

Fern Cottage - (sleeps two)

Just a few steps from the main lodge you will find “Fern Cottage”. This romantic little space with its trundle bed that doubles as a sofa and a king sized bed is perfect for two lovers who want that extra measure of privacy. All done up in white and fern, It has its own bathroom with shower and a closet that houses a coffee cart and microwave along with your luggage and clothes. Take the two rockers out on the front porch and bathe in the beauty. The cottage is approximately 190 square feet.
