When you book Upper Meadow Lodge you get all three stories of the Lodge, Fern Cottage, and 17+ acres of land to enjoy. We want your experience to be quiet, peaceful, and personal which is why we reserve the entire property for your use. Our caretakers live on the land and will check in with you to make sure your needs are met. Otherwise, it's just you, your guests, and the gorgeous views.

Bear's Lair bathroom is directly across the hallway from the bedroom, with a spacious Travertine shower.
The main bed in the Rose Suite can be a King or two Twins. The window above boasts an incredible view.
This view of Rose Suite shows the additional twin bed (plus there is an extra floor mattress underneath it for kids). Kids also love the extra TV with old school VCR movies in this room.
This cozy room sleeps 2 - in either a King bed or 2 Twins. It enjoys views of the meadow and forest.
The bathroom upstairs serves both the Rose Suite and the Cedar View room.
The bath tub upstairs can be a shower or tub bath.
Shown here with one King bed and the sofa for sitting, this suite can also host two twins with room for two in the comfortable Queen sleeper-sofa.
The private Sundance Suite bath has a huge shower, and beautiful tile.
Sundance Suite has it's own stone patio that looks out over the panoramic views. It also has a sink, microwave, and kitchenette counter area.
Just 30 feet away from the main Lodge, Fern Cottage is quaint and cozy.
Fern cottage is sometimes referred to as our "honeymoon" cabin with its own walk-in closet, bathroom, and a new Queen sized bed.
The large hot tub under the stars is a big favorite. Since we are near the famous observatory, the dark skies provide some of the best stargazing in California.
Partial Space Use: Occasionally, when the Lodge is not booked within the next couple weeks or days, we'll entertain offers to stay in only part of the Lodge for a lower fee. Please reach out if you'd like us to consider that possibility for your group.
